Our FOundation
Paradigm One Athletics welcomes athletes from all backgrounds, sports, and levels of experience. Whether an athlete is pursuing competitive performance, building confidence, or simply looking to improve, our goal is to provide a positive environment where every athlete can grow.
We believe athletic development is about more than speed and strength. It is about developing young people who pursue excellence with integrity, discipline, and purpose.
Inspired by 1 Corinthians 9:24, our motto, "Race to Win," reflects the mindset that drives everything we do: "Run in such a way as to get the prize." The pursuit of intentionality, discipline, and wholehearted commitment found in this passage inspires the standard by which we strive to live, coach, and pursue excellence in every area of life. To us, Race to Win means striving to give our very best in all that we do, both on and off the field.
Every athlete has a unique race to run, and our goal is to help them approach that race with the mindset, effort, and character needed to reach their full potential.
Meet Coach DAVIEN wORRELS
Athlete. Coach. Mentor.
Born and raised in Wesley Chapel, Florida, Davien Worrels is a collegiate sprinter, coach, and mentor committed to helping athletes unlock their potential through purposeful training, meaningful development, and a positive coaching environment.
Davien has competed at both the NAIA and NCAA Division I levels, representing Southeastern University and the University of South Florida. Through his athletic journey, he has experienced firsthand the dedication, discipline, sacrifice, and mindset required to pursue excellence at a high level.
However, his passion for coaching extends beyond athletic performance.
Throughout his career as an athlete, Davien has experienced the impact that coaches can have on a person's life. Great coaches do more than improve performance they build confidence, develop character, provide guidance, and help athletes navigate challenges both in and outside of competition.
Through Paradigm One Athletics, Davien strives to provide the next generation of athletes with that same positive influence. His goal is to be a coach athletes can trust, learn from, and look up to not only helping them become better competitors, but helping them become better individuals.
As a young coach who has recently experienced the challenges and rewards of competitive athletics himself, Davien understands the perspective of today's athletes. He believes this allows him to connect with athletes in a unique way by providing both the knowledge of a high-level competitor and the relatability of someone who has recently walked the same path.
Guided by his Christian faith, Davien believes athletics can be a powerful tool for developing discipline, character, confidence, and purpose.
